Was ist das 29 EUR Ticket?
Beim Bayerischen Ermäßigungsticket handelt es sich um ein Deutschlandticket, welches um 20 EUR ermäßigt ist. Das Ticket kostet also 29 EUR monatlich. Alle Auszubildenden, Freiwilligendienstleistenden und Studierenden in Bayern können das Ticket beantragen. Das Ticket kann als monatlich kündbares Abo beim VGN beantragt werden. Die Verifizierung erfolgt durch eine virtuelle Überprüfung mithilfe des Hochschullogins.
Ab wann gibt es das Ticket?
Der Erwerb des Tickets ist ab Mitte September für das Wintersemester mit Gültigkeit ab 01. Oktober möglich, für das Sommersemester ab Anfang März mit Gültigkeit ab 15. März.
Gibt es eine Altersbeschräkung für das Ticket?
Nein, alle eingeschriebenen Studierenden können es – unabhängig ihres Alters – beantragen.
Wo und wie kann ich das Ticket erwerben?
Das Ticket ist ausschließlich online erhältlich und ein Semester gültig. Unter https://meinabo.vag.de/ - "Ermäßigungsticket Studierende" kann das Ticket beantragt werden.
Muss ich Unterlagen/ Nachweise von der Hochschule für das Ticket vorlegen?
Nein, Sie müssen keine Formulare ausfüllen oder Bescheinigungen vorlegen. Der Erwerb ist nur möglich, wenn Sie als Studierende/r im Campusmanagementsystem für das entsprechende Semester rückgemeldet sind.
Ihr Studierendenstatus wird automatisiert und elektronisch bei Ticketerwerb durch die VAG verifiziert.
Muss ich das Ticket jedes Semester neu beantragen?
Ja, das Ticket muss jedes Semester neu beantragt werden, da auch der Nachweis eines bestehenden Studierendenstatus jedes Semester zu erbringen ist.
Kann ich das Ticket auch während des Semesters beantragen und/oder kündigen?
Eine Kündigung ist monatlich (bis zum 10. eines jeden Monats) möglich. Ein Abo-Vertrag kann zu jedem beliebigen Monat begonnen werden, nicht nur am Semesterbeginn. Auch eine erneute Beantragung während des Semesters ist möglich.
Wo gilt das Ticket und kann ich es auch in den Semesterferien nutzen?
Es gilt bundesweit i.d.R. in allen Verkehrsmitteln des öffentlichen Personennahverkehrs, also Bussen, Straßen-, U-, S-Bahnen und Regionalzügen (z. B. RE, RB). Das Ticket gilt auch in den Semesterferien, da diese Bestandteil des jeweiligen Semesters sind.
Ich bin nur für ein Semester an der Hochschule Ansbach. Kann ich das Ticket trotzdem beantragen?
Ja, da jedes Semester eine Berechtigungsprüfung erfolgt, können alle immatrikulierten Studierenden auch nur für das Semester, in welchem sie immatrikuliert sind, das Ermäßigungsticket beantragen.
Findet ein automatischer Wechsel von meinem 49 EUR Ticket statt?
Nein, das 49€ Ticket muss separat gekündigt werden.

Application for first semester students
To purchase the discount ticket, you must already be fully enrolled and your student account must be activated. Accounts are created two weeks before the start of the semester. You will receive an email reminder to set a password for the account and to apply for the CampusCard and the discounted Deutschlandticket. If you already have a 49 EUR ticket, you should cancel it by 10 September, as it cannot be transferred to the Studi-Ticket.
What is the 29 EUR ticket?
The Bavarian Reduction Ticket is a Deutschlandticket that is reduced by 20 EUR. The ticket therefore costs 29 EUR per month. All trainees, people doing voluntary service and students in Bavaria can apply for the ticket. The ticket can be applied for as a monthly cancellable subscription at the VGN. Verification takes place through a virtual check using the university login.
When does the ticket become available?
Tickets can be purchased from mid-September for the winter semester and are valid from 1 October, for the summer semester from the beginning of March and are valid from 15 March.
Is there an age limit for the ticket?
No, all registered students can apply for the ticket, regardless of their age.
Where and how can I purchase the ticket?
The ticket is only available online and is valid for one semester. The ticket can be applied for at https://meinabo.vag.de/ - Ermäßigungsticket Studierende.
Do I have to submit documents/proof from the university for the ticket?
No, you do not need to fill out any forms or submit any certificates. The purchase is only possible if you are registered as a student in the campus management system for the relevant semester.
Do I have to reapply for the ticket every semester?
Yes, you have to reapply for the ticket every semester, as you also have to provide proof of your existing student status every semester.
Can I also apply for and/or cancel the ticket during the semester?
Cancellation is possible on a monthly basis (by the 10th of each month). A subscription contract can be started at any time of the month, not only at the beginning of the semester. It is also possible to reapply during the semester.
Where is the ticket valid and can I also use it during the semester break?
As a rule, it is valid nationwide on all means of public transport, i.e. buses, trams, underground trains, suburban trains and regional trains (e.g. RE, RB). The ticket is also valid during the semester break, as this is part of the respective semester.
I am only at Ansbach University for one semester. Can I still apply for the ticket?
Yes, since there is an eligibility check every semester, all enrolled students can only apply for the discount ticket for the semester in which they are enrolled.
Is there an automatic change from my 49 EUR ticket?
No, the 49€ ticket must be cancelled separately.
