With a population of around 41,000, Ansbach, the seat of the government of Central Franconia, is one of the central business locations in the region. International corporations such as Robert Bosch GmbH or Diehl Metering GmbH have chosen Ansbach as their location. Due to the very well developed infrastructure with direct connections to the motorway, train traffic and the Albrecht Dürer Airport in Nuremberg, which can be reached in about 45 minutes, Ansbach is also an attractive address for commuters and business travellers. Furthermore, the city is part of the European Metropolitan Region of Nuremberg. This is one of the ten largest economic centres in Germany and is therefore of international importance. The vision of the Nuremberg Metropolitan Region is "Home for creative people". The long-term development perspectives and the region's strengths in future fields are shaped by the "Model for Growth and Employment".
