"Drone Academy" project
Under the direction of Prof. Dr. Helmut Roderus, Ansbach University of Applied Sciences developed a certificate course "Drone Driving Licence". This enables participants to take safe and legally compliant aerial photographs and drone videos. For the self-study parts of the certificate course, MDD students produced interactive, multimedia learning units within the framework of courses that explain the structure and handling of a drone. For the classroom components of the certificate course, the students created classroom training concepts and carried some of these out in practice.
The Ansbach University of Applied Sciences (Feuchtwangen Campus) cooperates with small and medium-sized enterprises in the region as part of the publicly funded DigBau project. MDD students supported the project by creating a teaching video with the animation software Vyond.
As part of the module "Practical Project" in the summer semester 2020, MDD students developed an asynchronous learning unit on e-learning for Bachelor students at the Faculty of Media. They developed and curated learning materials and supplemented them with learning objective checks (quizzes). They also designed a comprehensive assignment for a virtual group work. They placed all activities on the Moodle learning platform, moderated the implementation of the learning unit and gave the working groups individual feedback. An evaluation of the learning unit rounded off the project and gave the students feedback on their media-didactic actions.
Project "E-Learning Calculation"
As part of the module "Media III: Project Management", students had the opportunity to work on a real tender in a media agency in the summer semester 2020. Their task was to plan and calculate a comprehensive project for the creation of e-learning content.
Project "Rule Puzzle Room"
In the practical project, which took place in the winter semester 20/21, students in the MDD Master's programme took on the task of preparing dry content (rules and regulations) of an IT service provider in a playful way and conveying it in a motivating way. As a kick-off, the client invited the students to a virtual Escape Room. Subsequently, the students developed a concept for a virtual puzzle room in close coordination with the project partner and implemented it technically. In two online events, the students moderated the testing of the prototype in the company and collected feedback from the employees.
Project "Blended Learning Transformation"
In the summer semester of 2021, the "Practical Project" module will take place in cooperation with a well-known manufacturer of industrial technology and consumer goods. The cooperating business unit supports the digitalisation of the value chain through training and consulting services. The students' task is to transform a classroom seminar on a topic from the field of Industry 4.0 into a blended learning seminar.
