Professorships

We are looking for committed academics with practical experience and a doctorate who want to teach at the highest level at our constantly growing and innovative university and promote forward-looking research.

These are the requirements for a professorship:

  • Completed university degree
  • Pedagogical aptitude
  • Special aptitude for academic work, which is usually demonstrated by the quality of a doctorate
  • Five years of professional experience after completing the university degree, three of which must be outside the university sector.

Junior professorship

As part of the FH-Personal funding programme, Ansbach University of Applied Sciences is trialling the new junior professorship created by the Bavarian Higher Education Innovation Act (BayHIG). You will already be taking on tasks in teaching, research and academic self-responsibility while you fulfil the missing requirements for a professorship.

Lecturer

You will impart your knowledge and experience from professional and academic practice and combine both aspects in application-related courses.

These requirements are needed for a teaching assignment:

  • a completed university degree
  • pedagogical aptitude and
  • at least three years of relevant professional practice.

Your teaching assignment is awarded on a semester basis and can be for a maximum of 9 semester hours per week.

Scientific staff

As a research assistant, you will drive research projects forward, work with students and write scientific articles. Many of our academic staff are also doctoral students. As an employer, we actively encourage and support doctoral candidates.

Here are the general conditions:

  • Remuneration is in accordance with the provisions of the collective agreement for the public service of the federal states (TV-L) and is assessed at E13 if the recruitment requirements are met
  • 30 days annual leave
  •  Flexible organisation of working hours

Scientific support staff

Our academic support staff are an important part of our university structure. The employees here work primarily in administration, the central facilities, but also in the faculties and all campus locations. The jobs include exciting positions in the areas of budgeting, human resources, student services, counselling and much more in a rapidly growing academic and scientific institution. As a state-funded university of applied sciences, all our employees are employed by the Free State of Bavaria and therefore benefit from the advantages of public service.
