Location

Ansbach is situated in a beautiful environment with numerous leisure and excursion possibilities. Both the Castle Road and the Romantic Road run through the tourist region of Middle Franconia.

In the surrounding areas there is something for everyone:

  • Big city fans will get their money's worth when visiting the cities of Nuremberg, Fürth, Erlangen and Schwabach.
  • For nature lovers, the Steigerwald and Liebliches Taubertal areas or, of course, the largest holiday region, the Romantic Franconia, are ideal.
  • For a day on the water, surrounded by nature, the Franconian Lake District or the Altmühltal are the perfect choice.

What opportunities do I have to apply?

What documents should I enclose with my application?

Ideally, your application should consist of the following documents:

  • Cover letter/motivation letter
  • Curriculum vitae in tabular form with complete presentation of academic, professional and, if applicable, scientific career with exact time specifications (dd.mm.yyyy)
  • Certificates of your education and previous relevant activities
  • Possibly further certificates/certificates
  • Current passport photo

 

What does the application process look like?

After we have received your application, you will receive a confirmation of receipt. After checking your documents with our requirement profile, you will receive an invitation to a personal interview by telephone or e-mail.

The interview usually takes place on our premises at the central campus in Ansbach or at our branch offices. The interview will be attended by the future supervisor, a representative of the personnel department and, if necessary (if you so wish), a representative of the personnel council or the representative of the severely disabled.

If the decision has been made on the basis of the documents and the impression made during the interview, we will contact you by telephone in order to inform you of the verbal confirmation of employment for the time being. After approval by our Staff Council, you will receive the written confirmation by post.

If the choice has not fallen on you, we will inform you by e-mail and look forward to remaining interesting for you as an employer.

Can I apply for more than one job?

You are also welcome to apply for more than one position. Please enter your data again in each job advertisement under the button "Online application".

 

 

How do I withdraw my application?

For this it is sufficient that you inform us of this in an informal email to bewerbung@hs-ansbach.de stating the reference number of the relevant tender.

Will my personal details be stored when I apply to the university?

For the duration of the recruitment process, the data you provide when submitting your application will be stored in our applicant management system. Once the procedure has been completed, we will delete it without being asked.

Application documents received in paper form will be entered into our applicant management system by us and destroyed at the end of the procedure.

What are the recruitment requirements for professorships?

The recruitment requirements for professors are regulated in Art. 3 para. 57 of the Bavarian Higher Education Personnel Act (BayHSchPG). You can find out more here (German).

Will my travel expenses for job interviews or trial courses be covered?

Travel expenses to interviews: Unfortunately, travel costs to interviews cannot be covered.

Foreign university degrees

In the case of educational qualifications obtained abroad, please send us the relevant proof of equivalence with a German qualification.  You can find more information on this on the website of the Central Office for Foreign Education (Zentralstelle für ausländisches Bildungswesen, ZAB) at www.kmk.org/zab.
