Feuilletonists have a large artistic background. It includes art history as well as the working methods of contemporary masters. At the same time, cultural editors know the mechanisms of the modern art business. Only contacts with the press of the major publishing houses or relations with agents and curators guarantee them up-to-date information and access to the individual artists. In the cultural focus, students acquire a broad basic knowledge for their work in the arts pages. It ranges from the fine arts and the performing arts to literature and multimedia. The graduates thus have the prerequisites either to work as cultural generalists or to specialize in individual genres in the next step.
