The materials technology laboratory is available to students for practical courses in which they learn about the application of various testing methods of materials in independent execution. The experiments include, for example, the determination of typical strength values using the tensile test, the impact strength, the determination of the melt flow index of different granulates or the moisture of polymer materials. Microscopy plays an important role in materials characterisation in order to identify structures or defects in materials and components.

The Materials Technology Laboratory is available to students as part of their education and also supports the Research & Development department in various scientific projects. If capacity is available, it is possible to carry out projects with industrial partners.
