User ID and password

To shield your library user account and your personal data from third parties, your library account is protected through a login mask requiring your user ID and password.

You also must enter your user ID and password for all actions in OPAC which are linked to your user account (renewals, requesting items, displaying your account details or address).

  • Your user ID is printed on your CampusCard or your library card (number with 11 digits, library barcode number).
  • For all user cards issued before 16 September 2009, your pre-set password corresponds to the last 6 digits of your user ID.
If you activated your user card or CampusCard on or after 17 September 2009, the pre-set password is your date of birth in the format DDMMYY (e.g. 180196).

Please change your password, as your data (address, user account, request function) may be accessible to third parties otherwise.

You can chose a new password by logging on to OPAC under the tab “Account”, then choosing “User details” and then “Change password”. The new password must have a length of 6 to 12 characters, either letters or numbers, and the passwords are case-sensitive.

Have you forgotten your password?
If you forgot your password, you can request a new password, which will be sent to you by email (if you have entered an email address in your user data).

You can request a new password by opening OPAC and clicking on “Log on” in the top right hand corner. Below the fields asking for your login details, click the button “Forgot your password?”. You will be redirected to a page requesting you to enter your user number, which you will find on your CampusCard or library card below the barcode. Once you entered your user ID, a new password will be sent to the email address you entered into the system. This password will allow you to log in.

You can change this password at any time. (see above)
