ERASMUS+ Mobility for Training (STT)

The training can take place at either a partner university with European Certificate for Higher Education (ECHE) or at another institution which is situated in a programme country, and specialised on the labour market, education, vocational training or youth.

    Requirements:

The duration of the training has to be from two days (minimum) to up to two months (maximum - excluding travel days)

    • Contribution to accomodation expenses according to fixed rates (please see Funding)
    • Staff with special needs can apply for additional funding

    Advantages

    Advantages

    • exchange of good practices and methods
    • gaining new perspectives
    • supporting the mobility of students, teaching and non-teaching staff through intercultural training
    • strengthening one's own competencies

    Important Advice

The International Office's funds are limited for staff mobility.

In accordance with the guidelines of the European Commission, mobilities which support the development of cooperations or have a positive effect on the strategy of internationalisation of both, the sending and receiving institution have to be given preference over other mobilities. Furthermore, mobilities which have a positive effect on the exchange of teaching contents and methods should be supported. The added value of the mobility for the students is especially taken into consideration. Mobilities for training purposes should be prioritized over other mobilities, when they have a direct positive impact on the services offered for students.

In general repeated mobilities are possible. However, those colleagues who have not yet been on an Erasmus mobility have to be given preference.

The work group for international matters (Arbeitskreis Auslandsangelegenheiten) chooses the participants for the programme.

There is no entitlement to funding.

    Procedure

    Mobility with Erasmus+

Below you can read which steps are necessary before, during and after the mobility. Please see the to-do list (in German) for more information.

    Application

    1. Application form

Please fill in the application form. Then add the necessary documents and send it to the International Office.

      For teaching assignments:

      • travel authorization form (see below)

      For mobilities for training:

      • travel authorization form (see below)
      • a written document outlining why your mobility is eligible for funding (according to the admission criteria)

    2. Travel authorization form

An Erasmus+ mobility for teaching or training requires a travel authorization. The form can be found on drive O (Vorlagen/ Vorlagen Finanzen). Please read the guidelines for filling in the travel authorization form.

    Before the mobility

    1. Mobility Agreement - Staff Mobility for Teaching or Training

Before departure the Mobility Agreement has to be filled in with the help of the International Office. It then has to be signed by the participant, the host and the sending institution.

    2. Grant Agreement

The Grant Agreement stipulates the exact duration of the stay as well as the amount of the grant. After the International Office has received your travel authorization form and the signed Mobility Agreement it will send you the Grant Agreement. Please sign it and hand the original copy in to the International Office.

    3. Statement on travel cost claim

The statement has to be signed by the participant before the mobility. The grant is paid in fixed rates so no travel cost claim can be made.

    4. Receiving the grant

Once the IO receives the signed Grant Agreement and the signed Mobility Agreement (signed by all three parties) the grant can be paid out.

    5. Insurance

For the time abroad the participant needs insurance coverage (at least health insurance and, if applicable, private liability protection and casualty insurance). The participant commits himself to arrange for sufficient insurance coverage because the Erasmus Programme offers no insurance coverage.
DAAD offers an insurance package for mobilities abroad. For information on the DAAD-Gruppenversicherung please see here.

    During the mobility

    1. Certificate of Attendance

The host university or the institution offering the training has to certify the duration in the Certificate of Attendance. The form then has to be sent to the International Office.

    After the mobility

    1. Online Survey

Every participant in an Erasmus mobility has to fill in the EU Online Survey. The link to the survey is sent via email and has to be filled in at the latest 30 days after the mobility.

    2. Please hand in the following documents after the mobility:

      • the approved travel authorization form (copy)
      • the Certificate of Attendance

Your mobility is completed only after all documents have been handed in.
