Ansbach University of Applied Sciences and especially the International Office can record a success in the field of internationalization efforts. The Federal Ministry of Education and Research approved funding for the ANGIE – ANsbach Goes IntErnational project. Among other things, cross-university cooperation and English-language courses as well as internationalization "at home" or worldwide are specifically promoted. This entails a strengthening of international competence. In addition, study, information and support services for applicants, incomings and outgoings are optimized through digital offers and personal contacts.

Under the banner of the university's internationalization strategy, all efforts of Ansbach University of Applied Sciences in this area can now be intensified thanks to the funds won. Thus, the goal of internationalization can be further implemented both in teaching, in studies and in service. To this end, the university will increasingly focus on strategically anchored global cooperation and international exchange in the future. The aim is to prepare graduates for the global labor market of the future.
"With the funds of the ANGIE project, the university now has financial and human resources at its disposal to implement a broadly diversified internationalization in all areas. In addition to studying, teaching and research, German and international students benefit from the expansion of the range of services in terms of advice and support," says Bettina Huhn, Head of the International Office, about the new opportunities.
Specifically, therefore, the English-language courses of study as well as all advisory and service offers for international students will be expanded in the future. In the course of this, there will be new opportunities for students as well as consciously for teachers and employees to expand language competence.
Also, in terms of mobility, which has become a defining topic especially in the present times, ANGIE opens up new possibilities for the promotion of international mobility for study, teaching and research purposes. Ansbach University of Applied Sciences opens up digital information services to students and cooperations from all over the world. To this end, the digitization of administrative, information and teaching services is being promoted in particular.
With the help of the large-scale ANGIE project, the implementation of these principles can now be established and implemented in solidly tried and tested structures. "Thanks to the funding, we can use courses worldwide and network research projects internationally," emphasizes Anke Knoblauch, who was significantly involved in the planning.
