Opening hours

Opening hours in summer semester (March 18 - July 26, 2024)

• Staffed hours with full service:
  Monday-Thursday: 9.00-17.00
  Friday: 8.00-13.00
• Unstaffed hours
  The library is accessible beyond the staffed hours Mo - Fri 8:00 a.m. – 12 midnight.
  The CampusCard must be activated to use the staff-free opening hours.
• On July 19, 2024 the library will close completely at 13.00 due to the "Ansbach Open" event, there will be no unstaffed opening.

Opening hours during the semester break (July 29 - September 30, 2024) 

• Staffed hours with full service:
  Mo - Thu: 10.00 a.m. - 03.00 p.m.
  Fri: 8.00 a.m. – 01.00 p.m.
• Unstaffed hours
  The library is accessible beyond the staffed hours
  Mo - Fri 8:00 a.m. – 12 midnight.
  The CampusCard must be activated to use the staff-free opening hours.
• Closure week August 12-16, 2024
  In the week from August 12-16, 2024, the library will be completely closed for revision work, there will also be no unstaffed opening.

The campus card needs to be activated to use the unstaffed hours. If the conditions for staff-free opening are violated, access will be revoked. External library users can also apply for access to the staff-free opening hours.

Outside staffed hours with full service, the library is open without staff, i.e. an extra CampusCard is required to enter the library. The reading room can be used during the opening hours of the library. Media can be borrowed and returned at the corresponding vending machines. Media that have been reserved or ordered via interlibrary loan cannot be collected, nor can user passes be applied for or fees paid during this period.

Opening hours may be changed for special reasons. Information will be given as early as possible here and at the entrance door to the library.

In addition, the library is closed on public holidays.
